19th-Century Stones

The village of Lotbinière, a member of the Most Beautiful Villages of Québec Association, is well established on its plateau, offering a beautiful view on the St. Lawrence River. Well settled in their ancestral, stone-built houses, the inhabitants can see all the ships coming and going from Montréal to Québec City.

In addition to these typical 19th-century houses, which are classified as cultural heritage, you will also find a stone procession chapel and a church built in 1818. The Moulin du Portage, built in 1816, is also part of the historical heritage of Lotbinière. Moreover, the surrounding landscape, the agricultural land located nearby as well as the river that runs through the village make this place a great setting for the concerts presented at the mill in summer. Take advantage of the moment to have a picnic with your family or friends.
