The Musée minéralogique et minier invites you to learn about the underground soil of the region. You can visit the two permanent exhibitions. “Les Appalaches explosées et exposées” (Exploded and Shown Appalaches) makes you discover the formation of that beautiful mountain range as well as the type of rocks that can be found in this region.
You can also discover the role played by asbestos in the composition of everyday life objects. The exhibition “Atomes et cristaux” (Atoms and Crystals) offers you a quick look into the Earth's mineralogical history. Several activities are also offered at the museum, among which are a few educative activities. At the Musée minéralogique et minier, you will spend a day filled with great activities!
