The Maison Alphonse-Desjardins tells the life of this great man, who was famous for the development of the first cooperative financial group in America. The house dates back to 1883 and was restored to recreate the atmosphere of the beginning of the 20th century. The project of the cooperative bank was elaborated in this house. It is also in this house that the first transactions of the Lévis cooperative bank was performed. You can visit the permanent exhibition that relates the development of this unique cooperative system in Quebec.
