Église Saint-Jean-Port-Joli

Open from mid-June to mid-October

A Museum Church

The church of this small and beautiful village was built in 1779 and is now on the historical monument register. Its numerous decorations, like its caisson vault, its 4,500 rose windows and its statues were all made by people from the region. Numerous decorations are made of wood, like the altar. Under the seigniorial bench rests Philippe-Aubert de Gaspé, who was a famous author and the last Lord of Quebec. In the sacristy, a beautiful nativity scene exhibition awaits you.
