Parc régional des Appalaches

Open year round

The Best of Nature

The parc régional des Appalaches opens its large green spaces especially for you to take advantage of the nature of the Chaudière-Appalaches region. A giant network of hiking trails awaits hikers. You can choose between paths that will take you to lakes, that run alongside rivers or that climb up a mountain. Whatever tour choice, you will surely encounter exceptional wildlife and plants. Numerous natural attractions can be found here in the park, like the falls of the Cèdres River and those of the Devost River, the cascades of the Loutre River, the eskers and the peat bogs.

If you feel up to the challenge, climb up Mount Sugar Loaf or Mount Grande Coulée, from where you will have an amazing view of the park. You can also take advantage of all the water activities, like kayaking or a rabaska excrusion. If you want to extend your stay, you can spend the night at the campground or in a refuge. In winter, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are very popular activities in the park. In summer, a few events take place, like a guided hike and the Raid des Appalaches.
