Discover Canadian maritime culture at the annual Sea shanties festival, held every year on the shores of the Saint-Lawrence River in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli. Witness the age-old art of wooden boats fabrication and discover how sea shanties accompanied work tasks on sailboats.
The most important maritime festival of eastern Canada invites you to its sea shanties recitals, workshops, regattas and copious meals. Let us bring you on a trip of discovery of the Saint-Lawrence River and of its islands, its traditional fare and of its legends through its songs and traditions, from August 19th to August 22th 2010 in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli.
Troubadours, craftsmen, artists and sailors, all can be found cruising the grounds of the Sea shanties festival in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli.
