The Centre des migrations, which is located by the St. Lawrence River in the snow goose Capital, allows visitors to observe this immaculate migratory bird. In fact, each spring, snow geese travel from the South of the United States to the far North of Canada and stop over here, on the sandbar of the river. In fall, the birds return to their warmer south. The Centre des migrations allows visitors to observe these birds, but also to learn more about this beautiful bird.
You can visit the interactive exhibition about the flying techniques, reproduction and feeding of snow geese. You can also watch the two movies projected on wide screens “Lumières des oiseaux” and “Voisins des nuages” (in French only). Visit the aviary to get as close as possible to the birds.
