In Beaumont, stop at Centre d’interprétation de Beaumont, located in the old presbytery, to see a reproduction of General Wolfe’s proclamation. This proclamation declared the fall of New-France and was posted on the Sainte-Étienne church’s door in 1759. Right next to this centre, you will find an exhibition of works of art made by local artists. Then, visit the Moulin Beaumont where you can buy whole-wheat flour grounded with grindstone, bread, muffins and other home-made products. You will also have the chance to visit the three floors and the attic, or the ruins of the seigniorial mill Péan near the foreshores.
